Getting Portfolio and Project Management
basics right
A simple, secure, extensible, affordable, Microsoft-based Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) tool to help you get the basics right.

Many organisations do not have a PPM solution. They use a myriad of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to capture and communicate project, program, and portfolio information.
Consistency across these documents can vary and critically, with the information distributed across many documents and information stores, it is difficult, manual, and time-consuming to pull together reports and portfolio views. Exacerbating the issue is the fact that many organisations have not standardised task and schedule management solutions; either using more than one toolset or using the same toolset differently across business units.
We wanted to help our customers address these gaps and issues in a manner that is Microsoft-cloud-first, is consistent with Microsoft’s roadmap for Planner, and meets common Government security and data sovereignty requirements. And so, Mojo PPM was born.
Why is Mojo PPM
different?
Focus on getting the basics right
Implementing a PPM tool is often a big change for an organisation. It’s more than the technology, it's the organisational change that comes with establishing new processes, onboarding and training people, and so on. Being a professional services business at our core, we are strong advocates of small, iterative change and Mojo PPM is squarely aimed at organisations that do not have an existing PPM solution and that want a step-change in maturity.
Delivering cost-effective solutions
In focusing on the basics we can keep our cost to a minimum. We haven’t tailored Mojo PPM to meet every possible organisation or scenario, and we haven’t over-invested in capabilities that are really only useful for organisations with mature strategy and portfolio delivery management practices. Mojo PPM directly addresses the problem of consistency in project and program data capture, and the need for portfolio-level visibility (reporting); nothing more, nothing less.
Tailor the solution to your needs
Mojo PPM lays the foundation for data capture and reporting, where you take it from there is up to you. Customers, Mojo Up, and other partners, are free to extend Mojo PPM to meet their unique business needs. For example, you may want to add additional capability specific to your organisation, add approval processes, or create new reports. Your PPM solution is not limited to how Mojo Up sees the world. In extending Mojo PPM you can grow the solution iteratively over time in line with business needs.
Alignment with Microsoft Planner
Mojo PPM does not have task scheduling functionality. Our product integrates natively out of the box with Microsoft Planner Premium and uses the resource and task information within Planner Premium to feed reporting. Mojo PPM is most suitable for organisations using or planning to use Planner Premium across the organisation. Without Planner Premium, you can still use Mojo PPM for registers and tracking, you just lose resource and schedule visibility. We have worked with customers to develop custom workflows to import data from Jira and Project Online, for example, to support ongoing integration with non-Planner task management tools, or as a one-way migration when consolidating and transitioning to Planner.

We are focusing on:
- Doing the basics of PPM right.
- Helping customers that have low PPM maturity and are looking for that next step up without spending a fortune or overcomplicating things.
- Aligning with Microsoft to reduce the number of third-party suppliers our customers need.
- Giving customers the freedom to extend and enhance the solution to meet their needs (optional).
- Accelerating and enabling our partners to develop their delivery methodologies and processes on top to give our customers greater value.
Our goal is to provide a quality, solid PPM foundation that leverages your existing Microsoft investment, natively integrates with Microsoft Planner Premium, and seamlessly links in with communication, collaboration, process automation, and artificial intelligence (Microsoft Copilot) in the Microsoft 365 suite.
Like everything else we do, licensing is simple. There is a single version of our product, and it is a flat monthly fee for all functionality with no usage limitations (unlimited users, unlimited portfolios/programs/projects).
The only limitations that exist are those that are inherent in the Microsoft Power Platform. These limitations are unlikely to be reached by small to medium businesses and can be designed and planned for in larger organisations.
We will be sad to see you go 🥲 Other than that:
- The PPM solution will stop working.
- All data in Mojo PPM is stored in your tenant in the Microsoft Dataverse environment. When the subscription is cancelled, the data remains in your tenant, completely accessible and under your control.
- All project plans in Microsoft Planner or otherwise will remain usable and unchanged.
We expect Mojo PPM to be generally available in Q2 of the 2025 calendar year.

Sadly not. Our solution is built on the Microsoft Power Platform and designed to natively integrate with Planner and the broader Microsoft 365 suite of communication and collaboration tools.
If you are considering implementing or transitioning to Microsoft cloud solutions, consider reaching out to Mojo Up as we are a specialist professional services provider in this space.
Yes. Except for resource allocation and timelines, all PPM functionality works without a task management solution.
By default, Mojo PPM is designed to natively integrate with Microsoft Planner Premium. This integration works out of the box with no additional configuration.
If your organisation uses one or more other task management products, Mojo Up can custom develop and integration workflow for you. A basic integration workflow will typically cost $6,000-$10,000 to develop, test, and implement.
At minimum you will need:
- Planner P1 licences for team members and Planner P3 licences for project/program/portfolio managers.
As secure as your Microsoft tenant 😉
Our solution is deployed within your Microsoft tenant and therefore inherits its security. There is no inbound connectivity required, and Mojo PPM does not send information “back to base.”
We understand the need to satisfy security and architecture folk and are committed to producing pre-canned documentation over time. We are happy to work with subscribed customers at no cost (at our discretion) to assist with security documentation that is broadly applicable to a given segment or region, so long as we can share a de-identified and de-sensitised version for the benefit of all.

Yes. The Mojo PPM solution is deployed to your tenant as a “base” configuration. You cannot edit this base, however, you, Mojo Up, or a partner you authorise can build and enhance Mojo PPM on top of the base.
In this way we can maintain and continue to enhance the base functionality, while allowing you to tailor language, options, and processes.

Definitely. Please refer to our published roadmap for the latest information.
Sadly, not at this time. Internationalisation is part of our published roadmap, but we are focusing our energy on getting the product to where we feel it will meet the functional requirements for most organisations.
Yes, and have done so several times in the past. If we agree there is value in the functionality for our broader customer base, Mojo Up will consider part or fully funding the development. Where Mojo Up fully funds the development, it typically becomes a prioritisation exercise in our roadmap. Part funding by our customers allows us to allocate additional resources outside our committed roadmap to accelerate development.

Yes. Included in the monthly subscription cost is technical support via email (and soon via online self-service) between 8:30am-5:00pm AEDST.
Yes. From a professional services perspective we can work with you to scope and price a tailored support arrangement covering everything from end user support and training, through to enhancements tailored to your organisation.
Yes. Our professional services team consists of experienced delivery, organisational change, and technical consultants that can help you plan and execute the change. We also have several fixed price offerings to help you get started here.
Yes. Currently this is limited to a handful of trusted organisations, but we are in the process of building an authorised partner framework.
We've worked in enough organisations to know that each is different and trying to develop a one size fits all PPM solution is just not practical (or the product becomes unwieldly).
Therefore, our goal is to provide a quality, solid PPM foundation (base) that can be tailored by authorised and trusted partners who can build their or your delivery methodology and processes on top.
